You definitely know by now how much I love being out in nature and, as I mentioned in Sundays post, I went for a long old walk on the coast path on Saturday morning, towards Cudden Point, where the views in both directions are the most beautiful ever. The weather was perfect for it too; there was some rain on the horizon (which did catch me out a bit, but that was totally fine with me) and the clouds were stunning, throwing the most wonderful shadows on the ground. All the colours changed so often with the sun light; the sea and fields looking so bright when it came out that it was breathtaking, but moody and grey when it disappeared, changing the feeling instantly. I love it all, in every kind of weather, all lights and all conditions because it is so incredibly uplifting. When the rain hit, right on top of Cudden Point, it made be feel totally connected to everything and I could feel my spirit lift with it. There is a lovely cliff edge up there, where you can safely lay on the rocks and take it all in. I want to head up there again soon, armed with my sketchbook and water-colours and just throw down all the amazing colours and textures I can see.

There are no words for how a walk like that makes me feel, so I figure I will stop typing and just pop up some photos... let me know what you think in the comments and tell me what your favourite walks are too, I'd love to know.

“We know only too well that what we are doing is nothing more than a drop in the ocean. But if the drop were not there, the ocean would be missing something.”
― Mother Teresa

  1. oh Lucy I love this post so much, and the quotes that you included. This is exactly how coastal walks and walks in the woods make me feel.
